Creating and Using Label Groups
📦 What are Label Groups?
With label groups you can bundle and organize items. This is useful for:
- 👤 Delegating responsibility — Assign certain item groups to specific employees
- 📍 Subdividing storage locations — Use label group codes to organize your warehouse
⚙️ Create a Label Group
Step 1: Create new label group
- Go to Items → Groups → Label Groups
- Click + New
- Fill in:
- Code — Will be printed on labels (e.g.
A1,FLOWERS,GREENHOUSE-EAST) - Name — Descriptive name for internal use
- Code — Will be printed on labels (e.g.
💡 Tip: Choose a code that's clear for your logistics staff!

Optional: Set print filter
You can set when the label group can be printed:
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Leave empty | Print for inbound and distribution |
| Inbound | Only at incoming goods |
| Distribution | Only at logistics distribution |
🔗 Link Label Group to Item Groups
Step 2: Assign item groups
- Go to Items → Groups → Item Groups
- Open the desired item group
- Select the correct Label Group

💡 Tip: You can use the same label group for multiple item groups!
👥 Link Employees to Item Groups
Step 3: Assign responsibility
- Go to Organization → General → Employees
- Open the desired employee
- Go to the Purchase tab → Item Groups
- Click + New to assign item groups

✅ Done! The employee is now responsible for the assigned item groups.
